Poses flow from one to another in synchronization with the breath. The body is warmed, strengthened, and energized by flowing through a variety of postures, often connected to the sun salutation sequence. These classes vary from day to day, and change with our teachers' creativity and knowledge of sequencing. The All-Levels class is highly individualized, allowing you to explore the appropriate level of physical challenge for yourself, in a safe and supportive environment.
This class is for those brand new to yoga, and focuses on alignment, awareness and breath. Various postures are introduced, building strength, flexibility and confidence. Time is taken to provide appropriate variations and modifications for each student. No pre-registration is needed and you may begin at any time. We encourage students to attend as many beginner sessions as they need before moving on to the all levels classes.
Classes integrate light weights, the ballet barre, and other props. Small isometric movements are performed with form and precision, which results in highly effective toning with long lean muscles in the body (the core, arms, bottom and thighs). Challenging with low impact, and appropriate for all levels! Fueled by upbeat music and moving through all muscle groups; you'll see quick results in endurance, stamina, strength, tone and flexibility. All are welcome and no experience
is necessary for these classes.
In restorative yoga, the intention is to relax as far as possible into the postures, using as little physical effort as possible. Classes tend to be relaxing and slow paced, with a whole sequence using as few as five or eight postures which are held for longer periods of time. Props (bolsters, blankets, blocks, and belts) are also used in order to allow the body to be in the most comfortable, supported position possible. It offers a welcome respite among all the turbulence
This class is great for beginners and seniors, since it is a very thorough stretching of the entire body, allowing you to release tension in your body. Beginning and ending with deep relaxation, this yoga class moves slowly and deliberately through a gentle sequence of poses that helps you stretch and feel calm and balanced. Regular yoga practice can play an important part in keeping you healthy, because it helps to reduce swelling in joints, increase joint mobility and strength, improve balance, improve cardiovascular health, aid in digestion, lower blood pressure and cholesterol, improve blood flow, improve mood, and well-being.

Yoga for Emotional Healing
For those who are embarking on a journey of emotional healing, this class offers poses that can focus and calm your mind by including breathing exercises, yoga poses and guided relaxation. Experts say that we all carry trauma in our bodies and in our DNA. This can include direct or
indirect life experiences like a parent not being emotionally available, loss of a loved one, divorce, a bad accident, long-term illnesses, emotional abuse, living with a loved one with addiction issues, etc. For many, the time spent on their mats is the first time (possibly in years) that they have been able to feel safe and breathe freely. This class is meant to help you learn how to calm the mind and regain safety in your body. The process offered is gradual and organic, taking you from where
you are, to where you are ready and willing to go in your own path of healing.
Reconnect with the earth and your body in this all levels class. This class is meant to create a sense of physical, psychological and emotional grounding by utilizing breath work, movement and meditation. Being grounded means to be in a place of calm, feeling a sense of safety and security despite the chaos or challenges around you. When we are feeling flighty, frazzled, easily agitated or stressed grounding movements help to integrate awareness from our yoga
practice into our everyday lives. Breath work, meditation and earthy, calming poses will help you anchor down and cultivate energetic grounding to quickly hone in
awareness and reconnect to your true self. All levels welcome.
The term kundalini is used to refer to the vital force or energy that we all hold within us. Often called the “sleeping goddess” or “serpent power”, energy is represented as a serpent that is coiled around the first chakra or root chakra at the base of the spine. When one or more of the chakras become blocked, physical and mental ailments can arise. This practice is specifically designed to activate and balance your energy. Restoring the power of your chakras allows you to take back control of your health and wellness by learning to work with energy.
Open Mat (or Pop-Up) classes offer Tulaa teachers the opportunity to get creative and to give students a greater variety of experiences. The class focus and teacher will be different, please check the schedule or hop on our mailing list to receive an email with the class description and

Slow Flow for ALL LEVELS and ALL BODIES
This practice will be taken a few paces slower than a normal flow class, however it will be no less challenging and strengthening as well as meditative and mindful. It will include slow flowing transitions and longer holds. Mindful breathing and props will also be used to support or modify poses that better support every BODY. The more we are encouraged to lengthen and smooth out our movements and breath the more the lungs stretch, the nervous system calms, and the mind focuses giving us a chance to be fully present. Moving at a slower pace is also beneficial to mitigate the chance of injury.
