Prenatal Massage

Rachel Domenick is offering massage at Tulaa Yoga Studio. Rachel is a licensed CMT who finished her 600 hour course in massage therapy in 2007 and has a separate certification in prenatal massage. Prenatal massage is safe for women at any stage in their pregnancy and can help to alleviate discomforts specific to pregnancy such as sciatica, lower and upper back pain, as well as shoulder and hip pain that can occur at any time in a pregnancy. Prenatal massage, especially when used in conjunction with regular prenatal yoga classes, will help you to feel more in tune with your body and baby, as well as help you enjoy a more physically comfortable pregnancy. Chris Jodlowski, Shiatsu Practitioner

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of energy/body work that provides a revitalizing and energizing full body acupressure treatment that releases stress and strengthens the immune system. Shiatsu treatment creates a deep sense of relaxation and well being. Each session is approximately 1 hour, and you remain fully clothed on a futon mattress in the relaxing environment of the yoga studio. Anne Collins Duch, MPT / Physical Therapy for Women, LLC / 302.229.5021

Anne is a physical therapist specializing in women’s health with a primary interest in the treatment of urology, gynecological, and obstetric dysfunction. Her mission is to forge a partnership in order to successfully manage urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, osteoporosis, and obstetric-related discomfort. Cesarean birth and hysterectomy recovery programs are available as well as specialized fitness programs for the perinatal client.

Yoga Therapy

The International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) defines Yoga Therapy as “the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health & well-being through the practice of yoga”.  Yoga has long been relied on in the East to assist individuals in improving their holistic health.  Individual Yoga Therapy is most often a series of one-on-one appointments (4-6) where the yoga practice is tailored to the unique needs of the individual.  A recommended routine is designed for the client during these sessions for them to continue to practice on their own.  Yoga Therapy can be complimentary and helpful for chronic pain, back pain, anxiety, and many other concerns.  Michele is available for private Yoga Therapy for $50 per hour.  Yoga Therapy is an investment to learn life-long management options for your specific concerns.
